In September 2007, Goodlooking Films began filming a documentary on my music and the behind-the-scenes efforts that my manager and I go through to bring my music to you. All of the costs to date have been covered by the film company because they believe that the messages in my music are worth getting out to a different and hopefully new audience. To date, they have spent over $50,000 in actual expenses and time and materials put into the project.
We mounted a large production on October 9, 2008 at the Fitzgerald Theater, taping the show with 6 cameras and a full production set up. We've received wonderful support thus far to help make the taping possible (thanks to all who have donated, it is humbling and greatly appreciated), but we are still in need of help to cover the costs of renting the cameras, cranes, and personnel required to film the concert. Shooting at this high quality will enable us to offer the film to a broadcast network like PBS when it is done. Please check out the video embedded here to learn more.
The footage you see in the trailers was shot previously. The look, feel, and production quality of the October 9, 2008 shoot is amazing and we'll have some posted here soon for you to see.

This is a 2 disc set, with a full, unedited concert on Disc 1. Disc 2 is all bonus features, David talking about the stories behind the songs, some guitar how-to, a bit about how he gets his sound for all the gear heads out there and a very unique discussion of how he approaches songwriting - sort of a 'how-to' for aspiring songwriters, but its as much a 'why-to' as well.
